EUGENE, Ore. – The Eugene Airport has been granted $5.5 million from the Department of Transportation.
The funds will support repairs to the runway and taxiway lighting system.
Rep. Peter DeFazio made the announcement on Tuesday.
“As the summer travel season approaches and air travel increases, this grant will pay for critical repairs… keeping operations moving and maintaining a critical economic hub for southwest Oregon,” DeFazio said.
Last year, more than $25 million was secured for southwest Oregon’s airports as part of the CARES Act.
