GLENWOOD, Ore. – After a lot of buzz and consideration, the Eugene Emeralds are no longer considering joining the Glenwood project.

Springfield spokeswoman Amber Fossen told KEZI 9 News on Friday that the decision to withdraw for now was due to physical constraints with the site that exist currently.

The Ems have been looking for a new home due to scheduling concerns due to a longer season in High A baseball and other issues at PK Park, which they have leased from the University of Oregon since 2009.

Other proposals remain in the running to join the Glenwood development work. Stay with KEZI 9 News for updates.
