EUGENE, Ore. -- Hundreds of women's basketball fans gathered at Matt Knight arena on Monday to watch the Ducks take on Notre Dame in the NCAA Elite Eight.

Admission was free and the arena's Knight Vision boards were lowered over center court for easier viewing.

Although the Ducks lost 84 to 74 in Spokane, Wash., reaction afterward was focused on the positive things the team accomplished in 2017-18.

"They've had a phenomenal season," Bridge Smyth said. "I'm excited (about) what we have next year with the young team we had and how far they made it. I don't think they have anything to shake their heads about. They've done amazing this year."
