The library closed in 2017 after the county had to close all libraries due to lack of funding.

A ballot measure that passed and funding from The Whipple Foundation Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation allowed the library to reopen.

Candy Vickory, a Librarian, said she felt a lot of pride in her community as the library brethed new life.

"Bond issues aren't easy to pass in this area," Vickory said. "People are careful with their money so their backing the fact that 76-percent of the voters voted "yes," it was a big deal."

She said she hopes the new library will be a hub for community members.

The new library will be open four days a week.
