ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Douglas County Board of Commissioners will be reopening the Douglas County Courthouse on Monday.

The board announced on Friday that public access will be restored to the building on April 27.

Officials said although the courthouse will be open, they will be maintaining strict social distancing for employees and those who are visiting.

All county departments will resume normal hours of operation, except for the fairgrounds and museum.

The Douglas County Fairgrounds, Douglas County Museum, and the Umpqua Lighthouse Museum will remain closed due to Gov. Kate Brown’s stay-at-home order.

Commissioners said residents should continue to stay home as much as possible in accordance with Brown’s order.
