Detectives seek help identifying truck linked to woman's death

A truck matching the description of the one that dropped the woman off at the hospital was seen in the River Road area.

An injured woman was taken to University District Hospital, where she was declared dead. The truck left the scene.

LANE COUNTY, Ore. – The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying a vehicle connected to a woman’s death in Eugene.

Detectives said a male driver and passenger transported an injured woman to University District Hospital at about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Investigation indicates the woman was picked up in the River Road area before being taken to the hospital. The driver left the scene before additional information could be obtained, detectives said.

They were in a late 90s to early 2000s gray Toyota Tundra.

The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. Detectives said her injuries indicate she was hit by a vehicle.

At this time, the woman’s identity is not being released until authorities can contact her family.
