LINN COUNTY, Ore. – Authorities are issuing a warning after more than 10 rescues over the past two months at Blue Pool.

At about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, Linn County deputies responded to a rescue at Tamolitch Falls off Highway 126.

Pavan Vemuleti, 28, reportedly was jumping off rock ledges into the water and had not surfaced after his last jump.

He was pulled to shore and carried out of the area and taken by Life Flight to RiverBend Hospital where he was treated and released.

Blue Pool has been an increasing tourist attraction, the sheriff’s office said. However, emergency services are delayed as it is a remote area with no cell service and difficult terrain. With the recent increase in rescues throughout the county, authorities are asking the public to take precautions.
