ROSEBURG, Ore.— The Denny’s in Eugene and Roseburg have launched an initiative to help those who are unable to go to the grocery stores themselves.
Customers can pull up to the restaurant’s makeshift drive-through, pick out the items they need from a master grocery list, and then servers will bring the items to their car.
The items include basic groceries like milk, eggs, bread and deli meat. Denny’s is also offering toilet paper, hand soap and hand sanitizer.
Restaurant officials said all the items come from Denny’s inventory. Each item costs less than $10.
“There is a need for people running out of toilet paper and different home goods that we have plenty to give around,” said Frank Gortarez, the Southern Oregon Manager for Denny’s.
You can find the master list on Denny’s Facebook page.
