Deaths linked to heat wave climb to nearly 100 in Oregon

Temperatures were dangerously high and record breaking over the weekend and into Monday.

SALEM, Ore. -- More deaths have been added to the list of Oregonians believed to have died of heat-related causes in the recent heat wave.

Up from an original tally of 63, the current count is 95. 

Temperatures were dangerously high and record breaking over the weekend and into Monday.

Most of the deaths recorded took place in the Portland area.
