EUGENE, Ore. – Starting June 1 some in-person services will start to resume at DMV offices.

People will be able to schedule an appointment starting June 3.

There is a backlog the department has to get through and they advise that if you need to renew a license or ID card, consider waiting until later in the summer -- they hope the demand for services will have calmed down by then.

The services you can make appointments for include:

  • Driver licensing and ID cards
  • Driver knowledge tests
  • Driving privilege reinstatements
  • Disabled parking placards
  • VIN inspections for new-to-Oregon vehicles previously titled elsewhere
  • Farm endorsements

Mail and online services will not be offered in the offices.
