CRESWELL, Ore. – A Creswell man missing after a hunting trip in the Florence area has been found in the Rock Creek wilderness area.

The Lane County Sheriff's Office confirmed Tyler Saxon, 30, was found just before 4 p.m. on Thursday in a heavily wooded area near where he was dropped off to go hunting on Nov. 17. He has non-life-threatening injuries, and the search and rescue team is working on a plan to get him out safely.

Saxon was reported missing after 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 when he never showed up to a planned meeting hours after being dropped off.

Searchers from Lane, Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties had been looking for Saxon along with the Coast Guard.

The sheriff's office thanked the responding agencies for their assistance.
