Flames and smoke billow from Creswell home

On Friday morning, 2 adult brothers escaped a fire inside their home.

CRESWELL, Ore. - Creswell firefighters, with help from Pleasant Hill and Goshen Fire Districts, helped save a home from burning to the ground Friday morning. 

Two adult brothers were asleep when one of them woke up to the smell of smoke. Investigators said he woke up his other brother, they then escaped the home safely. Afterwards, they called 911 around 7:00 a.m. 

Firefighters said the fire started in the attic, causing heavy damage there and to the second floor of the home. They had to cut holes in the roof to help douse the flames. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
