Coos Bay police looking for shooting suspect

At this time, the vehicle and the shooter have not been located and are still at large.

COOS BAY, Ore. --- The Coos Bay Police Department is looking for the person responsible for shooting a man in the leg at the Englewood Market on Sunday.

Officers arrived on scene and found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper left thigh. The victim was identified and the officers rendered first aid to him until medics arrived shortly after and took over.

Officers were able to get a brief statement from the victim and witnesses. Police were able to develop a suspect vehicle and people of interest in the case.

Officials said the victim was familiar with some of the people associated to the vehicle and that this wasn’t a random act of violence. Officers were able to obtain video footage of the incident and collected evidence at the scene.

At this time, the vehicle and the shooter have not been located and are still at large.
