Coos Bay police investigating chainsaw theft

COOS BAY, Ore. -- Four brand new chainsaws were stolen Thursday from a Coos Bay business, and the police department needs the public’s help to locate two suspects.

At about 9 a.m. two men entered South Coast Saw and Garden, 1120 S. Broadway Street. Each of the men grabbed two Stihl chainsaws from the showroom before fleeing the store and getting into a vehicle.

They then fled the scene.

Police said the suspects left in a dark blue or black Honda or Acura passenger car with red mirrors and red accents on the lower portion of the car.

Police have no identified any suspects. If anyone has information, they are asked to call the Coos Bay Police Department at 541-269-8911 ext. 1 or Coos Stop Crime at 541-267-6666.
