COOS BAY, Ore -- The Coos Bay Police Department launched a missing person investigation Friday after it received a report of a man who went missing back in February.

Police say 58-year-old Gary Adams was last seen on Feb. 17 walking west on Thompson Road near the entrance of the Bay Area Hospital's lower parking lot in Coos Bay.

The investigation revealed that Adams was renting a trailer space at the Springtide Trailer Park but neighbors allegedly haven't seen him since he was transported to Bay Area Hospital. Officials said he was discharged from the hospital that same evening.

Officials said Adams had been homeless at one point and associated with other homeless individuals in the Empire district of Coos Bay.

Police said they contacted the Nancy Devereux Center but people there had not heard from Adams. Officials believe Adams' may be staying with friends in the Empire Area.

At this point in the investigation, police say the case is not considered suspicious.

Anyone with information on Adams' location should call the Coos Bay Police Department at 541-269-8911.
