CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A structure fire broke out in Corvallis early Friday morning, closing Highway 99 for hours and causing delays  for drivers.

Highway 99 reopened later Friday morning.

The fire broke out at about 4 a.m. behind the main building of the First Alternative Co-op on 1007 SE 3rd St. in Corvallis.

The fire burned the annex of the store, which houses the kitchen, bakery, offices and storage. The business will close for the day and reopen Saturday.

Firefighters said a partial roof collapse made the fire difficult to fight. The cause is unknown.
