SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A man who used a blowtorch to commit multiple burglaries has been sentenced.
Joseph Ryan Belecz, 26, was sentenced on Thursday in Lane County after pleading guilty to burglary charges stemming from multiple incidents.
Belecz was arrested Oct. 26 after trying to break into the coin operated machines at Kwiki Car Wash in Springfield. Police say he was captured on video surveillance using a blowtorch. He had previously been arested for burglarizing Northwest Welding School in July and Hutch's Bicycle Shop in May.

Belecz will serve five years and 10 months in prison and three years of post-prison supervision.
