Nearly 100 gallons of oil intentionally spilled at Eugene Space Age gas station, officials say

EUGENE, Ore.--- Eugene Springfield Fire officials said around 100 gallons of possibly used vegetable oil was intentionally dumped at the parking lot of the Space Age gas station located on the 4400 block of Commerce Street.

Officials responded to the area around 7:20 p.m. They said they were able to stop the spill before it hit the drain.

No injuries were reported.

The Hazardous Material Response Team along with Eugene Police responded to the incident.

Officials contacted the property owner to conduct cleanup in the area.

Police said no arrests have been made yet related to the incident.
