4J families face choice of hybrid or online learning

With in-person learning on the horizon, this is the last chance families will have to change their selection.

EUGENE, Ore. – Families in Eugene School District 4J have an important choice to make: whether to enroll their children in hybrid or online learning.

The deadline for middle and high school families to enter their choice is this Thursday. However, district officials said families only need to respond if they want to change their existing enrollment option.

With in-person learning on the horizon, this is the last chance families will have to change their selection. Elementary families were able to select their choice in February.

Students who opt in to hybrid learning are expected to return to school buildings this spring, starting with the youngest grades. School staff have had the opportunity to be vaccinated, and schools will comply with Oregon’s advisory metrics for reopening schools, district officials said.
