EUGENE, Ore. - We all eventually want to retire but, according to AARP, tens of thousands of retirees in Oregon can't afford to stop working.

They said the reason is they never saved up enough money earlier in life.

AARP has launched a brand new savings program called Oregon Saves.

Organizers said through this program, people will be able to save money each paycheck, no matter what kind of job you have.

"You're going to still want to have all the fun that you're having now." Said Joyce Demonnin for AARP Oregon. She added that while most people want to care their families, people also need to remember to pay themselves.

AARP said around a million Oregonians are eligible for Oregon Saves.
