EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field program has officially released its full 2018 schedule, including a packed indoor slate and an outdoor schedule that features two regular-season home meets and the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field, head coach Robert Johnson announced on Thursday.

After a shortened home outdoor schedule in 2017, the Ducks and Historic Hayward Field will host the Pepsi Team Invitational (April 7), the Oregon Twilight (May 4) and, for the fifth straight year, the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 6-9).

“We are excited to announce our schedule for 2018,” Johnson said. “This schedule has been put together to maximize competitive opportunities for our student-athletes. We are excited to return back to New York to race at the iconic Armory indoor track, and then we couldn’t be more excited to compete in front of our Hayward faithful in the spring.”

The Ducks will open their indoor season the same way they have in recent years, returning to the Dempsey Indoor Facility in Seattle for the UW Preview on January 13 as they look to get 2018 off to a strong start.

Oregon will travel to New York a couple weeks later for the Dr. Sander Invitational (January 26-27), hosted by Columbia University at the historic Armory indoor track, and then will split the team on February 9-10 with some going to Albuquerque, N.M., for the Don Kirby Elite and some returning to Seattle for the Husky Classic.

The Ducks will be in Seattle for a third time during the indoor season on February 23-24 for the MPSF Championships before heading to College Station, Texas, for the second year in a row for the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 9-10.

The outdoor track and field season will begin on March 23-24 in San Diego, Calif., with the SDSU Aztec Invitational, followed by the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. (March 30-31).

Oregon fans will have their first chance to see the Men and Women of Oregon compete at home on April 7, when the Pepsi Team Invitational returns to Historic Hayward Field. Washington, Washington State and BYU will be in Eugene to make up the four-team field for the meet.

The Ducks will then head back out on the road to the Mt. SAC Relays (April 19-21) in Torrance, Calif., and the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19-20) in Azusa, Calif.. Oregon will split up once again the next weekend (April 27-28), sending some athletes to the OSU High Performance Meet in Corvallis and others to the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Ariz.

Select Ducks will be at the Payton Jordon Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., on May 3, a day before the Ducks host the Oregon Twilight on Friday, May 4, at Hayward Field.

The Pac-12 Championships will be hosted by Stanford in Palo Alto this season as the Men and Women of Oregon get set to pursue a 10th straight sweep of the conference titles. The Multi-Event Championships are set for May 5-6, and the rest of the Pac-12 Championships are scheduled for May 12-13.

The Ducks will then look to punch their tickets back to Eugene for the NCAA Championships on May 24-26 in Sacramento, Calif., at the NCAA West Regional Championships.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships will return to Hayward Field for the fifth straight year on June 6-9, with competition set to begin with the men and alternate days as in recent years past.
