COBURG, Ore. - Halloween is creeping up and the Coburg Police Department is sending out a few tips to help ensure your children have a spook-tacular holiday.

First and foremost they said children should not trick or treat alone. Kids should always have an adult with them, even when in large groups.

Second, be seen. Officers said to add reflective strips to costumes, have flashlights, glow sticks, or blinking lights so drivers can see you and your child.

Lastly, officers said not to forget about inspecting all that candy before you let your child dig in.
