SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- A K9 officer helped authorities track down two people who they said stole a car in Douglas County.

Sutherlin police officers responded to reports of a stolen car early Monday morning.

They said a man reported that his car was stolen from his home on Second Avenue.

Police officers found the car abandoned on the railroad tracks on North State Street and they called in a sheriff's K9.

K9 officer, Grim, was able to track down the suspect, Jeffrey Alan Haines, 37. They said he wasn't cooperating but Grim was able to apprehend him.

Grim continued searching the area and found a second suspect, Tasha Nicole Thompson, 33. She was arrested without incident.
