LEBANON, Ore. -- A man is in jail after police said he built a hash oil lab in a shed he was renting.

A man called the Lebanon Police Department to report suspicious items that he believed it was linked to a possible hash oil lab in his shed. He told police he had been gone for three weeks and when he returned he noticed the items.

Officers responded and made contact with James Lee Mires. They said Mires had rented from the caller and had permission to use the shed. Investigators found that Mires built a BHO lab in the shed.

Officers seized several items including a small amount of methamphetamine. The area was deemed safe and was cleaned.

Mires was arrested and charged with illegal manufacturing of marijuana extract, and possession of methamphetamine.
