Motorcyclist killed in Linn County crash

Oregon State Police said a man died after crashing into a pickup Tuesday afternoon.

SWEET HOME, Ore. --A man is dead after a crash in Linn County, just east of Sweet Home.

Oregon State troopers were called out to a crash on Highway 20 near milepost 34 at 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday.

They said a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Highway 20. They said the motorcyclist was rounding a curve when he crossed the center line and struck the front of a white Toyota Tacoma pickup.

They said Robert DeLong, 74, flew off the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said DeLong was from Willamina, Oregon.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
