EUGENE, Ore.--- Eugene Police arrested 39-year-old Christopher Berry for allegedly hitting a person's head with a brick on Saturday.
This incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the intersection of North Lawrence Street and Chesire Avenue.
Police said it started out as a domestic violence incident between Berry and a female at a unhoused camp. They said other campers intervened and a bystander ended up getting hit in the head with a brick by Berry.
The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries and was treated at the camp.
Police said Berry left the scene but he was found ten minutes later and taken into custody.
Berry is currently in Lane County Jail facing charges of assault, harassment, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.
