3 people displaced, 2 cats missing after house fire

When crews arrived to the scene they said the home was fully engulfed in flames and the roof was on fire.

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. --- Three people are without a home and two cats are missing after a house fire completely destroyed a home on Sunday evening. 

Lane Fire Authority officials tell KEZI 9 News that they got a call of a flue fire at the 26 thousand block of Fern Ridge Drive around 6:43 p.m. Shortly after, dispatch informed crews it was actually a structure fire. 

Officials said a resident was woken up by a working smoke alarm and saw the flue collapsing into the living room. Thankfully, all the residents were able to get out of the home safely. 

When crews arrived to the scene they said the home was fully engulfed in flames and the roof was on fire. 

Officials said it took a few hours to get the fire out. They told KEZI 9 News that the Red Cross helped the three people who are now displaced. 

Officials told KEZI 9 News the home is a total loss.
