Level 1 notice canceled for some Thurston residents

Level 1 remains in place south of Main Street.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Some residents in the Thurston area are no longer under an evacuation order Tuesday night.

Lane County officials said the Level 1 Be Ready notice has been removed for the area north of Main Street and west of 75th Street, which is inside Springfield city limits.

Level 1 remains in place south of Main Street and east of Bob Straub Parkway in the Thurston area.

Changes in fire behavior could require new evacuation notifications.
