EUGENE, Ore. – This affectionate Labrador retriever mix was a stray when she was picked up on Jan. 2. She is now at First Avenue Shelter awaiting a new home.

Girl is a 7-year-old calm, sweet dog. She will lean in for hugs, loves to snuggle, and enjoys playing fetch. She would fit into many homes well, and should be the only dog in the home.

Girl weighs 60 pounds and has a medium energy level. Her adoption fee is $175, which includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Every Tuesday, KEZI features a homeless pet on the 11 a.m. Midday newscast.

If you are interested in Girl or any other animals at First Avenue Shelter or Greenhill Humane Society, call 541-689-1503 or click here.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the dog is compatible with everyone in the household.
