EUGENE, Ore. – This year’s Race for the Cure is in March in Eugene, and people can get involved even if they can’t be there on race day.

You can become a Cornerstone Member of Komen with a monthly donation.

“Without the community there’s no Komen,” said Andrew Asato, the CEO of Komen Oregon and Southwest Washington. “One of the ways individuals can helps us is becoming a member of our Cornerstone society. It’s making a monthly donation of a latte.”

If you donate $50 a month, this provides the financial assistance for a woman to finish breast cancer treatment.

A donation of $25 a month pays for a mammogram, and $12 a month provides educational programs and materials.
