Hayley Lewis joined the KEZI 9 Sports department as a sports reporter and anchor in September of 2017. Most recently, Hayley reported for WKRN News 2, where she covered sporting events for Belmont University and Middle Tennessee.
Working as the first-ever sideline reporter for the Ohio Valley Conference, Hayley covered games all across the conference. She has also reported on ESPNU, ABC, radio sports shows, and covered the TSSAA State Championship tournament, the OVC tournament, and the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. During her time in Tennessee, Hayley had the opportunity to interview sports legends like Michael Vick and the University of Tennessee's Butch Jones.
In 2014, Hayley won the Miss Tennessee title and competed for Miss America, where she placed in the top ten out of 52 competitors. As Miss Tennessee, she served as the governor's Official Spokesperson for Character Education, traveling over 80,000 miles and speaking to over 50,000 school children about character and respect. During her tenure as Miss Tennessee, Hayley had numerous spokesperson roles and TV appearances. After spending a year serving as Miss Tennessee, Hayley returned to Belmont University to finish her degree in Business Administration and pursue sports broadcasting.
Hayley grew up as a head football coach's daughter, so talking about sports was second nature to her. As a Missouri native and Tennessee transplant, Hayley is a huge Chiefs, Royals, Titans and Preds fan. If she's not in the newsroom, she's probably headed to watch a game.
