LAKESIDE, ORE.--A woman is accused of assaulting a man with a can of tomato sauce, and was arrested for possessing methamphetamine.
On March 9th, the Coos County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a domestic assault.
Upon arrival, deputies found out that Katherine Lavingne and the man had been arguing. Lavigne had used a can of tomato sauce as a weapon, throwing it at him.
He had bruising on his thighs and reported being punched in the head.
Other people in the home saw the alleged attack and called the police. During the arrest, police noticed Lavigne trying to hide something in her hand. It was a Ziploc baggie containing what deputies suspected to be methamphetamine.
Lavigne was arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail. She was booked on one count of Assault and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
