EUGENE, Ore. -- A man accused of killing his girlfriend in a Eugene home more than a year ago has been found guilty.
It took the jury about 30 minutes to find Erick Joaquin guilty.
Police arrested Joaquin in November 2016 after they found the body of 19-year-old Jessica Frank. Prosecutors said she was stabbed in the neck and chest at least 23 times.
Joaquin will be sentenced Wednesday, March 14. He is expected to be sentenced to life in prison and will likely have to serve 25 years before he's eligible for release.
